Most memorable concert: Sting's 57th/9th Fan Club show in NYC. Went to the rehearsal with my mother and I got to chat with Sting during the Q&A. Asked him “Who’s the guy yelling ‘what key is this in? Wait wait!’ Before Shadows in the Rain and he told us that it was Branford Marsalis! Always wanted to know that...
Other favourite bands: Genesis, Dave Matthews Band, Jonatha Brooke, Kevin Gilbert, U2, Pearl Jam, Toto...
In your own words: How does one sum up their love for Sting’s music in just a few sentences. I will give an example (of many many many) of how much he’s connected in my life. Just one example; I used to vacation to Cape Cod every single summer and whenever our family would get onto Route 6A (the highway on the Cape), it was required that we put on Dream of the Blue Turtles as it instantly helped put us in that vacation mode. 24 years later, my wife and I LIVE on Cape Cod and I still require that we put that album on in the car every time we get on Route 6A. Also, Sting’s ability to take me out of whatever element I’m currently in and throw me instantly into a world where there is beauty and depth both musically and emotionally is what validates my lifelong fandom for him and his music.
